Zenotech’s exciting work in cloud computing and the renewable energy sector has just gone Stateside. Product lead, Mike Turner presented his findings on optimising wind farms using the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure at the prestigious Oracle Open World in San Francisco earlier this month, where he also collected our award for Innovation.
Mike demonstrated how our zCFD product and on-demand HPC were key instruments to improving the operations of future wind farms, and helping to reduce the costs of renewable energy production. Testing the most effective placement for wind farms is costly, and the more that can be ascertained digitally through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) the better.
Discover how CFD can help engineers achieve the optimum wind turbine placement – watch the presentation now:
The renewables sector has not invested in high performance computing, making HPC on demand the perfect solution, as they pay when they need it.
Mike presents with Martin Hogg, who works for Oracle in Bristol, and gave an open invitation to those at Oracle Open World to visit our home town, and discover more about our tech scene. We hope they will take him up on it!
