We’re excited to announce the launch of a new joint centre, the Sino-British Cloud Simulation Computing Centre with our partners in China. This exciting computing partnership comprises Zenotech and CEPC, a local high-tech engineering company in Qingdao, with export and marketing support from partner Sabre UK Ltd.

The aim of this new Cloud Simulation Computing Centre is to deliver advanced cloud high performance computing (HPC) solutions to the Chinese wind energy sector based on our two key products, ZCFD and EPIC. This partnership builds on the ground-breaking results which we have been achieving for the wind energy sector and the green economy in the UK.

The Joint Centre delivered a technical symposium on wind energy with support from industry and government in Qingdao (pictured), followed by a formal signing ceremony at the Qingdao Blue Fair on 6 November 2019.

We are grateful for support in creating the Joint Centre from the China British Business Council, the Department for International Trade, the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, and the Qingdao (Laoshan) government.  We are also grateful for initial support from UK Research and Innovation, Enterprise Europe Network UK and RTC North. 

Our ability to give the industry access to the flexibility of cloud modelling and simulation securely and competitively has already been gaining recognition globally, and we look forward to building on this and further developing the capability of the technology in this international partnership.
