As sponsors of the ERCOFTAC Symposium on Engineering, Turbulence, Modelling and Measurements (ETMM), we saw the event as the perfect place to debut our new product, HiPer. The conference, held in Dubrovnik this September, brought together the brightest minds in fluid dynamics.
Our Product Lead for HiPer, Mark Allan, was on hand to demonstrate the new solver and gather feedback from delegates.
A Step Change in High-Fidelity Simulation
HiPer represents a fundamental shift in high-fidelity simulation. It’s a cutting-edge solver designed to tackle complex aerodynamic and aeroacoustic challenges with unparalleled ease, speed and accuracy.
What sets it apart is its accessibility and cost-effectiveness. HiPer has been engineered to run massive, complex simulations on modest, consumer-grade hardware. This makes high-end fluid dynamics available to a wider range of users, breaking down the traditional barriers of cost and computational power.
HiPer at ETMM15
At ETMM15, there was significant interest from potential academic and industry users, who were particularly drawn to its opportunity for easy mesh generation, a process that is traditionally a time-consuming and complex part of the CFD workflow. There was also interest in advanced scale-resolving simulations, opening up new possibilities for research and development without the need for capital investment in supercomputers.
Our work on HiPer has been supported under the UK ATI / UKRI Programme project led by Airbus UK: Landing Advances for a New Decade One “LANDOne“.
As a conference focused on innovative modelling, simulation, and experimental techniques for flow and turbulence, ETMM was the ideal place to connect with the CFD community.
