Zenotech at the Future Flight Challenge stand at DroneX
The Zenotech team is on the road this week and heading for the DroneX Expo, Europe’s leading UAV business event. We’ll be at the Future Flight Challenge on Stand C90 from 26 to 27 September at ExCeL London. The stand will be showcasing projects funded through the Challenge, including our SafeZone project.
SafeZone is part of the Future Flight Challenge, delivered by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and designed to position the UK as a world leader in the third aviation revolution.
Zenotech has joined forces with our initial partner, Flare Bright, and Cranfield University and Cardiff Airport, on the world-first SafeZone project to enable safer drone flight. The project has won two rounds of successful funding to develop next-generation drone flight by improving safety and commercial viability.
This game-changing project seeks to develop safer unmanned drones in urban spaces, which will increase efficiency, ease congestion, improve sustainability, and develop emergency services’ capabilities. The partnership has already gathered successful results from flight trials and plans to use these results to enable the delivery of a new live data service to provide real-time information about aerodynamic hazards in urbanised environments.
The UK Research and Innovation Future Flight Challenge is a £300 million programme, co-funded by government and industry, that is supporting the creation of the aviation ecosystem needed to accelerate the introduction of advanced air mobility (AAM), drones, and electric sub-regional aircraft in the UK.
We’re looking forward to showcasing the ground-breaking SafeZone project at the DroneX show where over 3,000 professionals come together from across the industry.
