Zenotech is delighted to announce that we’ve joined Aerospace Wales – the trade body for aerospace, defence, and space sectors in Wales.
With over 170 members, Aerospace Wales helps to drive forward the sector in Wales, promoting member activities, setting up networking opportunities and encouraging collaborations. Wales is an innovative force in the aero sector; with just 5% of the UK population, the nation is home to around 10% of the UK’s aerospace industry.
With a strong relationship with the Welsh Government, the Aerospace Wales Forum represents the views of its members and the wider aerospace sector at regional, national and international levels as well as establishing new partnerships and clusters.
Based in Monmouthshire, Zenotech is at the heart of the aero sector in Wales. For instance, our world-first project, SafeZone, with our partners FlareBright, conducted flight trials at Cardiff Airport. Earlier this year, we completed our second round of more advanced and successful trials at Cardiff Airport, which took place within the ‘manoeuvring area’ of the airport. SafeZone is a game-changer for the future of safe drone flight. With safety measures in place, urban unmanned drones can ease congestion, improve sustainability and transform the capability of the emergency services and logistics.
David Standingford, Director and CEO of Zenotech, said:
“With our background in driving innovation in aero, we’re delighted to have become a member of Aerospace Wales to explore new ideas and collaborations. The aero sector and future flight technologies in Wales are soaring high, and we’re proud to become a member to promote our work in this area as well as develop partnerships to strengthen the sector as a whole.”
